Something new for an old cupboard.
Single storey rear extension and remodelling to provide an open-plan kitchen diner, with lounge seating and a strong connection to the garden.
The scale of the extension and remodeling was impressive, and yet all geared around an old cupboard of sentimental value. The busy forms and myriad brick types of the existing house required a more muted approach to the new accommodation. Simple forms were used with a two tone render finish to provide a calming foreground to the impressive spectacle behind – one complementing the other to great effect.
