Four bedroom new build replacement dwelling.
The initial brief was to fully refurbish and extend the home, to provide more open plan space, better sized bedrooms, and an enhanced connectivity to the garden. The extent of the proposed remodelling pushed the project into a new build.
The ambitious proposals offer a high impact entrance hall where space meanders past the cantilevered stairs, into the lounge, kitchen and dining area, traveling upwards into the double height, vaulted ceiling.
Here, a landing bridge connects 3 bedrooms on the first floor, where ceilings are also vaulted. The triangulation provides a dynamic composition of form and space.
Despite being located in a conservation area, the contemporary design sailed through the planning process with no issues arising.
The project is currently under construction and is due to finish early 2025.
